Since we'll be moving in 2 1/2 weeks, I'm trying to make some better choices with our utility bills. Have any of you used any VoIP services, like Vonage or Phone Power? How do you like them? Do they drop your calls often? Can you go from one end of the house to the other on the same phone? What about Dish? Anyone get a great deal somewhere? Also, who's got a great, cheap DSL service? Thanks for your help!

Well we used Vonage in Utah and it worked great....the first probably month some calls would drop but they said that the kinks were being worked out...after that it was perfect. As far as dish...we used to pay about $30 a month at my parents house and then we called to cancel the service and they wanted to keep us so they ended up kncoking the price down to $5.99 a month....so maybe go with them for a month or so and then call to cancel and see if they lower their price like crazy....good luck. How exciting to be in your new home so soon. See ya this weekend. Oh and I think comcast does a bundle of phone, internet, and cable...check on that.
Don't use Time Warner Cable!! :)
Talk to Adam, he'll give you more info than you'll ever need to know about that. :)
We have our home phones and cell phones through T-Mobile. It's nice because if some one calls my cell while I'm at home it uses the home connection and not my cell mins.
Anyways we also had Vonage for about three years and liked it.
Let me know if you get some good advice. We have a "triple bundle" from Verizon for fios~cable, internet and phone. We have been very happy with the service, but I wonder if we could get cheaper or not?
I like Direct Tv rather than the dish, but we bundle everything through Qwest which is our provider in Utah... Contact your local provider to see if you can bundle! LOVE YA
